Alabama Activists Want Abortion Clinic Shut Down Now

Operators of New Woman All Women Health Care already have agreed to give up their license and shut down by May 18, but activists said the clinic shouldn’t be allowed to continue operating until then since a state review earlier this month determined the clinic had kept inaccurate records, allowed unlicensed workers to administer medications and failed to follow-up with patients who had complications after abortions.

The number of babies saved in 2010 was 74. The old record was from 2009, with 99 babies saved.

Rick Perry's wife is opposed to his view of abortion

Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry’s new opposition to abortion in virtually any situation appeases conservatives in Iowa, but it also moved his views further away from those of a sexual abuse organization that his wife Anita supports.
At an emotional appearance this week during campaigning for the January 3 Iowa caucuses that started the presidential nominating process, the Texas governor said he had undergone a “transformation” in his views toward abortion.

Abortion Statistics relating to the frequency of abortion in the United States.

National abortion statistics in the U.S. are available from two sources, privately from The Guttmacher Institute (AGI) and federally from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). In 2007 (the most recent year for which CDC data is available), California, Maryland, and New Hampshire did not provide abortion reports to the federal government. Since California has not complied with CDC requests for abortion data in many years, and since California accounts for more abortions than any other state in the U.S, CDC totals are routinely incomplete.

Planned Parenthood Told To Split Abortion From Other Health Services In Indiana

Planned Parenthood should separate its abortion clinics from its other health services, said Indiana officials in an effort to end a legal standoff related to state funding.

Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels signed a law in May prohibiting any state Medicaid funding from going to Planned Parenthood, even for non-abortion services such as cancer screenings and birth control. He argued federal law prohibits Medicaid from covering abortions, which Planned Parenthood combines with funding for other services.

I believe parents should know if their child is having an abortion. Some idiots don’t think so, what in the world is happening to society. Read this article and post your comments

Opponents of a new state law requiring that parents be notified when their daughters seek to get abortions will have a chance to present full arguments at a hearing challenging some provisions of the law.

Anchorage Superior Court Judge John Suddock on Friday rejected the state’s attempt to have certain issues tossed from the case to be heard Feb. 13. He said while the state’s arguments were correct “in a sense,” there also was Alaska’s judicial system to consider.

That system, he said, “is strongly imbued with the principle that each party is entitled to its day in court and to the opportunity to present facts it deems significant.”

Sex can include kissing, touching, licking, tickling, sucking, and cuddling. Some people like to have aggressive sex, while others like to have soft and slow sex with their partners. There is no right or wrong way to have sex. Just have fun, explore and be yourself!”

Kansas attempts restricting insurance coverage for abortions

A magistrate judge recommended Monday that a federal court deny a request to temporarily block enforcement of a new Kansas law restricting insurance coverage for abortions, finding that the American Civil Liberties Union failed to present sufficient evidence that its members will suffer irreparable harm while the case is decided.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Kenneth Gale rejected the ACLU’s efforts for a preliminary injunction barring the law, which took effect July 1. The law prohibits insurance companies from offering abortion coverage as part of their general health plans, except when a woman’s life is at risk. Those who want abortion coverage would have to buy supplemental policies, known as riders, covering only abortion.
